Female friends have the power to inspire, uplift, and empower us in countless ways. They are a source of strength and encouragement during challenging times. They bring laughter into our lives and help us celebrate important moments. True friends understand our flaws, quirks, strengths, and weaknesses, yet love us regardless. As we age, these friendships deepen, offering comfort, companionship, and support.
Since Amy Poehler's character, Leslie Knope, in the show Parks and Recreation, introduced the term "Galentine's Day" in 2010, it has become a day to honor and celebrate your female friends.
On the day before Valentine's Day, women exchange small tokens of appreciation with their female friends. A quick scroll through Instagram will reveal some fantastic ideas. Here are a few:
To inspire your female customers to celebrate with friends, create a mini "Galentine's Day" party corner in your shop. Fill it with candy, balloons, and small floral arrangements in pinks, reds, and whites.
Offer to set up a flower bar for party hosts.
Organize a "girls only" flower workshop.
Provide petite bouquets that can be delivered to female friends on February 13th.
Offer monthly hand-tied flower subscriptions.
Stock in-store pampering gifts like soaps, lotions, candles, and bubble baths.
Having a few ready-made takeaways available might boost business, and what doesn't sell on the 13th can still be sold on the 14th.
Start by posting some ideas to encourage your female customers to shop. Meanwhile, create a reminder email prompting their special Valentine to order for February 14th.
Let us celebrate the remarkable connections women form with each other and honor the strength, support, and love that female friendship brings into our lives.

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another,
‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.'”
– C.S. Lewis
